On January 13, 2015 an Otter Tail County jury acquitted 21 year-old J.A. of all criminal charges stemming from an allegation of rape. After a heated six day trial, more than 15 witnesses, and two experts, the jury deliberated for over three hours before rendering its verdict of acquittal.
The jury made the right decision, but it was a very difficult case. Cadem Law Group put everything it had into his defense, and justice prevailed. The worst part is that J.A. sat in jail for more than five months for a crime he didn’t commit. One of the highlights of my career to date was sending him home to his family.
